FAQ

What if I made a mistake and don't need this course?

If you made an accidental purchase or realize you don't like the course for any reason, please contact me within 30 days of your purchase, and I'll issue you a full refund.

I never know what to do with references. Can you help?

Yes! We talk about when and how to provide references.

How long will it take me to complete this course?

It typically takes 1-2 weeks to finish the course. The good news is, you have lifetime access to this course, so the pace is entirely up to you. You may do a module a day if you have the time to devote to creating or editing documents, learning, and practicing the skills we discuss. Or, you may need a little more time to digest each section. You may choose to go through one module a week, or you may take more time on some modules and less on others. This course tracks your progress all along the way, so you can pick up right where you left off!

I've been job searching a long time, and I haven't had any responses to my resume. What's going on?

It could be one of two things. 1. Maybe you're not looking in the right places, in which case, this course will be just what you need. 2. Or, maybe your resume needs some work. If that's the case, you'll learn everything you need to in this course's resume module.

I've been using the same cover letter for every application. Is this okay?

Just like most people prefer a handwritten hello on a holiday card rather than just the card itself, employers want to feel like you wrote this letter with them specifically in mind. We talk all about how to do this in this tutorial.

What will I learn in the salary negotiation module?

This tutorial is for you if you are: 1. negotiating salary during a job offer 2. would like to negotiate salary at your current position 3. are deciding between multiple job offers 4. have a job offer but are waiting to hear back from another company to see if you get that offer, too

I get lots of conflicting advice for how to write a resume, how do I know what's right for me?

This course walks you through the nuances of resume writing, as well as the "why" behind certain pieces of advice, so you'll be able to decide exactly what will work best for you.

I pretty much use the same thank you letter for everyone, is that wrong?

While sending a thank you letter is good in and of itself, you want to be sure you're standing out in the best way possible with every form of contact you have with the employer, including your thank you letter. We talk about how to do this in this training.

What if I go on a lot of interviews but don't get any job offers?

It's likely you're qualified for the job, but there is something you're doing that is turning employers off to hiring you. This course will help you explore what that could be.
